Nadia Binte Alam is a PhD candidate at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick, Coventry, UK. Nadia has a diverse academic background with focus in psychology, cognitive neuroscience and public health. With expertise in mental health, she has contributed significantly to research on serious mental disorders in low-income communities, particularly in slum populations in Bangladesh. Her research interests include psychotic disorders, machine learning and the application of digital technologies to monitor health in underserved populations. Nadia’s doctoral research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) through the TRANSFORM project, aimed at improving mental health care in slum communities.
