Montse Romero-Mas is a researcher of the the Research Group “M3O” (Methodologies,
Methods, Models, and Outcomes) at University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia,
Spain. With expertise in virtual communities of practice, she co-owns the “I’mWithYou” App, developed as part of her doctoral thesis. The App “I’mWithYou” aims to improve the quality of life for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s. This App was awarded by
XartecSalut (a Network led by the Research Center for Biomedical Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya which acts as a catalyst in the R+D+I) in the Valorisation call 2022.
She’s been an Associate Member of the Health and Wellbeing Expert Community of the EAIE (European Association for International Education) from 2022 to 2024, and a member of the Task Force Academy COHEHRE (Consortium of Institutes of Higher Education in Health and Rehabilitation in Europe) from 2012 to 2024. Her research interests are focused on the field of digital health, and more specifically, on virtual communities and technologies for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s.
