The endoscope allows the surgeon to visualize the inside of the body and perform the surgery using specialized instruments inserted through the endoscope. Endoscopic surgery is commonly used for procedures such as colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and upper endoscopy.
Both laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries offer several advantages over traditional open surgeries, including less pain, shorter hospital stays, faster recovery times, and smaller scars. However, not all patients are suitable for these types of surgeries, and it is important to discuss the risks and benefits with a qualified medical professional before undergoing any surgical procedure.
