Normal birth, also known as vaginal birth, refers to the delivery of a baby through the birth canal, without the need for surgery. It is considered the natural way of giving birth, and is often preferred by many women. Caesarean section, or C-section, is a surgical procedure in which a baby is delivered through an incision made in the mother’s abdomen and uterus. It may be recommended if there are complications with the pregnancy or delivery, or if a vaginal delivery would pose a risk to the mother or baby. While a vaginal birth is generally considered to be a safer and more natural option, a C-section can be life-saving in certain situations. However, it is a major surgery and carries risks such as infection, bleeding, and complications with future pregnancies. Ultimately, the decision between a vaginal birth and a C-section should be made on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with healthcare providers.
