RNA biology is the study of the structure, function, and regulation of RNA molecules, including their roles in gene expression, protein synthesis, and other cellular processes. RNA is a single-stranded nucleic acid that plays a central role in the transfer of genetic information from DNA to proteins. RNA molecules also have diverse functions beyond this central dogma, such as serving as regulatory molecules, catalyzing chemical reactions, and maintaining genome stability. Research in RNA biology involves techniques such as RNA sequencing, RNA interference, and RNA-protein interaction studies to understand the complex roles of RNA in the cell.
