Prof. Diwakar Tiwari is currently Senior Professor and Dean, School of Physical Sciences, at Mizoram University (A Central University), Aizawl (India). He did M.Sc. from R.D.V.V., Jabalpur (India) in 1988 and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (India) in 1994. He has a vast experience of Research and Teaching in the area of environmental chemistry and advanced analytical chemistry. The major research area includes the environmental chemistry, in particular the use of advanced and hybrid materials in the remediation of aquatic environment, advanced oxidation process using titanium oxide based thin films and use of ferrate(VI) in oxidation of potential water pollutants including the EDCs and several PPCPs. Moreover, the development of electrochemical sensors using the advanced hybrid materials/nanocomposites for sensing of arsenic and EDCs is greatly conducted. He has received several National and International awards including Pool Scientist’ of CSIR, New Delhi (India), STA Fellowship of Japan (Received twice 1997 & 2000), Visiting Researcher, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Visiting Professor at Catholic Kwandong University, Korea for several times.
