Mahdi Ali Lathbl is an accomplished geologist with a robust academic background. He is currently pursuing advanced studies at the Department of Geoscience, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. Mahdi’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He further honed his expertise by obtaining a Master’s degree from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.
Driven by a passion for deeper exploration and understanding of Earth’s processes, Mahdi pursuits to complete his academic with a PhD in Petroleum System Basin Modeling. His work focuses on the intersection of basin modeling and environmental studies, contributing to the sustainable management of natural resources. By integrating these disciplines, Mahdi aims to ensure that exploration and extraction activities are conducted with minimal environmental impact, balancing the need for energy resources with the preservation of ecosystems.
